Forget getting excited about royal visits by Harry and Meghan, or even William and Kate!

There's a new group of royals in town and they go by the name The Royal Mo's!

The Royal Mo's are an elite, yet local, group of people who came together at the behest of the Windsor Castle Hotel to raise money and awareness for Movember in support of Men's Health.

Together the hotel and its loyal subjects have raised more than $6,000 for the cause throughout the month of November.

"The Royal Mo’s of The Windsor Castle included 26 members who all contributed to building awareness for Movember and Men’s Health either by growing a mo if they were male, or Moving for Movember for females, which meant adding an additional 60km of movement over the month in response to the 60 men we lose every 60 minutes to suicide," hotelier Georgia Duff said.

"One of our local patrons Guy Cridland raised the most individual funds, hitting a grand total of $1,045 by getting moustache sponsors."

In conjunction with individual fundraising, the hotel also created initiatives that encouraged patrons and the wider community to get involved and contribute through purchasing a ‘Dirty Sanchez’ MoBurger from the hotel's menu.

"We also had a huge Mo lit up on the pub for the month to get people talking about the cause which is one of the biggest problems in Men’s Health..."

"We donated $2 from every burger sold and we also had a MoBeer of the Week, which changed each week and we donated a $1 from every schooner sold, plus change tins on all bars and till areas," Georgia said.

"We also had a huge Mo lit up on the pub for the month to get people talking about the cause which is one of the biggest problems in Men’s Health. This was a fantastic opportunity to get everyone engaged and talking about how important the issue of men's health really is. The fact that our local patrons and community got so involved was really encouraging and great to see."
