The Bradford Hotel, Rutherford has teamed up with Camp Quality in what is easily the hotel's largest community sponsorship initiative to date.
As the new Gold Sponsor of Camp Quality's 1000kms 4 Kids cycle event for the next three years, the hotel has committed $45,000 to the organisation, which currently supports more than 160 local Hunter families with children impacted by cancer.
"This came about thanks to a number of our local patrons," hotelier Neil Hedges said.
"We have quite a few patrons who are involved in numerous charities, including Camp Quality. This was a way to give back to our patrons and to an important organisation that provides a great service to our local community."

Camp Quality's 1000kms 4 Kids event has been running since 2011 and sees riders cycle from Queensland to Newcastle with all funds raised providing support for families living within Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
"Funds raised through this event are provided to local families and last year we were able to raise around $450,000 through 1000kms 4 Kids," Camp Quality Community Fundraising Manager NSW Nicki Lembcke said.
"The Bradford Hotel coming on as our major event sponsor will make sure money raised can be used for families and keep our running cost down."
As part of the sponsorship, The Bradford Hotel will also provide space to Camp Quality throughout the year for fundraising events, as well as the final welcome home party for cyclists participating in the 1000kms 4 Kids event.
