Milestone achievement for Lakeside Village Tavern's Kylie Hodgetts

If you're a local at Raymond Terrace's Lakeside Village Tavern you will have undoubtedly seen her there before.

Duty Manger Kylie Hodgetts recently celebrated 20 years working at the hotel and said it is a career she still enjoys today.

"I've been here for 20 years and the staff, patrons and good friends that I've made at the hotel are what keep me here," she said.

"It's such a good crew and it's always been a really great place to work.

Kylie said over the years, the hospitality industry has provided her with not just a long-term career, but also an opportunity to build relationships, some that have lasted what feels like a lifetime.

"I love our regular patrons and over the years here at the Tavern I've had a wonderful opportunity to really build and create relationships with so many different people. The fact that our staff and hotelier Stephen Hunt took the time to recognise this anniversary was really special to me, it was just beautiful."

Stephen, owner of the hotel, said it was important to mark milestones and celebrate the achievements of staff.

"She's awesome. Everything you want in a pub manager. She's honest, reliable and adored by our locals. She's the longest standing member of staff we have, and to us she's just priceless..."

"This was really important to us because Kylie has been at the hotel since she was 20 years old in different capacities, both full-time and part-time, and has always done an amazing job," he said.
