Belmore Hotel Scone - marking milestones with Adam Brand

Country star Adam Brand brings his Milestones Tour to the Belmore Hotel on Friday, April 27

According to internationally acclaimed country music star Adam Brand, it doesn't get much better than having the chance to play his music in local pubs.

So to celebrate 20 years in the business, Adam is taking his Milestones Tour out on the road with a focus on country pubs, including The Belmore Hotel at Scone.

"I love playing in country pubs," he says.

"I started playing in pubs, even before my career began, and being my 2oth Anniversary, I wanted to do something that was different - and getting to places that may not see many big touring shows is just great. "People might usually have to travel to Newcastle or Tamworth to see tours like this, but I wanted to go to towns, to the local pub and just be one of the locals for the night."

Over the years, Adam has made a name for himself both in Australia and internationally with more than half a million album sales, resulting in numerous Platinum and Gold Records.

Just this year he took out the coveted Australian Artist of the Year and Australian Video of the Year awards at the CMC Music Awards, and he has also been the recipient of more than 12 Golden Guitar Awards.

But for Adam, playing in pubs like The Belmore can still bring back some of his best memories. He says it gives him the chance remember what he loves most about music and performing.

"I've played in pubs all over the place.

"At the start it was just wherever they would let me, so it's pretty good to get back to these pubs now that they actually want me. Pubs have such a great vibe about them too. They have so much heritage and tradition and history. They have been a part of the town and community for years, so they really are part of the culture and I love sharing that and being a part of it."

and being a part of it...."

On the night, fans can expect to hear all the classics along with tracks from his recent album Get On Your Feet, and new album Milestones.

"It's going to be a party, a real celebration," Adam says.

"This has been a journey of 20 years, and over those years I've travelled so many miles and done so many shows. There's songs, there's people, there's friends, there's all these memories made along the way and it all comes together in this show. That's what I want to bring to The Belmore Hotel at Scone and to the other pubs along the way throughout this tour."

Adam Brand and special guests The Viper Creek Band will appear at The Belmore Hotel at Scone - Friday, 27 April. Tickets are $35 and are available from the hotel on (02) 6545 2078 or via Facebook
